All staff at CGB are committed to providing a warm, secure and enriching environment for our students, giving them outstanding learning opportunities and ensuring that they are prepared for the challenges of an evolving world! At CGB, The Foundation Stage covers the age range from 3 years old (Nursery) to 5 years old (Reception) The Foundation Stage curriculum is organised into six areas of learning

The Foundation Stage is a very important stage in a child’s education. It should be  a rewarding and enjoyable experience in which children explore, investigate, discover, create, practise and consolidate their developing knowledge, skills, understanding and attitudes. During the Foundation Stage at CGB, we aim to bring many of these aspects of learning together effectively. We carefully plan and structure activities which are fun, relevant and motivating for each child.

Introduction KEY STAGE ONE

Key Stage One covers the age range 5 years old to 7 years old. The Key Stage One Curriculum is based on the National Curriculum of England and meets the requirements of the Colombian Ministry of Education.

This Key Stage focuses on further developing early reading, writing and mathematical skills. During Key stage One at CGB, we aim to create a love of learning through a stimulating and vibrate environment in which students can question, take risks and develop their own desire to learn new things. We plan activities which target core learning in English, Numeracy and Science whilst integrating other aspects to deliver a balanced curriculum for all.

This key stage sees significant social and academic changes as children develop into independent young learners. During Key stage Two at CGB, we aim to develop self awareness and a deeper understanding of the wider world as well as cultivate children’s own learning skills. We plan for a number of cross-curricular opportunities, ensuring the children are given a broad and balanced experience.
