Colegio Gran Bretaña proudly began the academic year 2023-2024 with its Flag Raising Ceremony held on August 14, 2023. The ceremony became a canvas for welcoming new staff, students, and families.
Year 12 students stepped forward to receive their International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) Badges. A 2-year programme committed to the development of students that go beyond academic success.
Meanwhile, our Year 13 students stepped into their new roles as seniors of the academic year 2023-2024. With their leadership and experience, they assume the responsibility of guiding and inspiring their peers, reflecting the spirit of unity that defines our school.

“Bienvenidas nuevas familias.
Mi esposa, Marcela, que hoy me acompaña, es la mejor compañera de viaje que la vida me ha dado. Con el apoyo del colegio, nos impulsamos a construir en nuestros hijos, todos los días, los valores de tolerancia, inclusión, respeto y pensamiento global que hará de ellos y de todos ustedes, unos verdaderos cuidadores del mundo sin fronteras en sus cabezas.
Este gran proyecto es un trabajo conjunto, en equipo con el colegio, con sus profesores y directivas. En estos primeros 8 años, hemos sentido siempre el apoyo, la cercanía y el conocimiento profundo de las fortalezas y oportunidades de mejora de nuestros hijos. Hemos podido cooperar con nuestro colegio para alcanzar siempre los mejores resultados.
En mi experiencia personal, como madre, estoy convencida que es nuestra responsabilidad formar a nuestros hijos. Nuestro colegio CGB es una gran herramienta que hemos utilizado en las más complejas situaciones, desde el apoyo académico hasta el emocional y administrativo logrando excelentes resultados. Mi recomendación es busquen al CGB, a sus profesores, al staff emocional y administrativo, trabajen en equipo con ellos y les aseguro que siempre encontrarán una mano amiga con la mejor intención y todas las ganas de ayudar y apoyarlos como familia.
Les damos la bienvenida a Colombia y al CGB a todas las nuevas familias que hoy inician su proceso. Los invito a crear esta comunidad de crecimiento común con nuestro colegio, que al igual que todos los padres tiene total interés en el desarrollo de nuestros hijos, en que crezcan en un ambiente de total respeto y en ayudarnos a hacerlos cada día más felices.

“Welcome, new families.
My wife, Marcela, who is here with me today, is the best travel companion that life has given me. With the support of the school, we are driven to instill in our children every day the values of tolerance, inclusion, respect, and global thinking. These values will make them and all of you true caretakers of the world, without borders in their minds.
This significant project is a collaborative effort with the school, its teachers, and leaders. In these first 8 years, we have always felt the support, closeness, and deep understanding of the strengths and opportunities for improvement in our children. We have been able to collaborate with our school to consistently achieve the best results.
From my personal experience as a mother, I am convinced that it is our responsibility to shape our children. Our school, CGB, is a great tool we have used in the most complex situations, from academic to emotional and administrative support, yielding excellent results. My recommendation is to reach out to CGB, its teachers, emotional and administrative staff, work as a team with them, and I assure you that you will always find a helping hand with the best intentions to support you as a family.
