Greetings, everybody. I am Ibrahim. I am Palestinian, and I’ve been a CGB student for nearly six years.
I arrived in Colombia anxious because I didn’t know the language and it was a new environment with new people, but when I arrived at the school, it was very welcoming, and I quickly gained friends.
I started participating in different school activities, such as the Student Council, basketball, and the Primary Production, which was fun and boosted my confidence. Many of my friends have left, but new ones have arrived. I realized that’s how international schools work: even if your friends leave, new ones arrive. You will get to meet people from different places, cultures, and religions. You will have the chance to celebrate this diversity yearly on International Day.
The people in CGB are very kind and caring, and it’s not just the students who are great, the teachers are just as amazing as the students. They will stand and care for you, helping you learn in fun and great ways, respecting your differences, trying their best, and keeping the school as an anti-bullying space.
Everything in CGB is great and magical. There are food festivals during lunch where you will try food from different countries. The people and the actual school itself are cooking it.
The school doesn’t just care about your academics but also about different values like being resilient, responsible and more.
Finally, I’d like to say that I hope you enjoy your time in CGB whilst having memorable moments.
