Infirmary

We follow the National Curriculum of England for English and PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) and the Mastery Approach for Mathematics, which is also aligned to the National Curriculum of England. As of August 2013, we use the IPC (The International Primary Curriculum) for the Foundation Subjects.

Library


The CGB library is a welcoming space that supports learning, research, and a love of reading. It offers a wide and diverse collection of books and audio-visual resources, carefully selected to support students across all stages of their learning. The CGB school library has over 33,000 copies, all of which are 100% in English, making it the largest library among the 24 IB libraries surveyed.

Our House System


Every student and their family become part of one of CGB’s Houses — Phoenix, Pegasus, Griffin, or Minotaur — from the moment they join the school, and remain in that House throughout their journey at CGB. Secondary (KS3-KS4-KS5)


Key Stage 3
In 2025, CGB launched the Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum, preparing students for IGCSE and future academic challenges. Learning is inquiry-based, encouraging students to make connections through thematic units and “Big Ideas,” while Global Citizenship Days extend learning beyond the classroom.


Key Stage 4
In Key Stage 4, students follow the IGCSE curriculum from Cambridge and selected Pearson Edexcel courses. Alongside core subjects, students choose electives based on their interests, while also studying Performing Arts, Physical Education, and PSHE.


Key Stage 5
CGB offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in Years 12 and 13. Students complete the full diploma, combining academic subjects with core components such as Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay, and CAS, preparing them for university and beyond.
