Rugby

Although the official rugby season is now over the boys are still on a high from the fantastic end to last year´s fixtures. The CGB team won the Bogota interschool tournament by defeating Gymnasio Moderno 12-10 in an exciting and tough final. Our team had been convincingly beaten by the same opposition only one week before and they showed heart and determination to turn the scores around when it counted. Tries were scored by Gilberto Ysaccis and Marcello Fonseca however it was the strength of teamwork that won us the game.
This year, we have travelled to the Colegio Los Cerecos in Chia for our second demonstration match. The event was a great success and promoted Rugby to a highly receptive audience. The ambassadors from the CGB rugby squad are doing their best to encourage greater participation in this sport and hopefully this will see a larger and stronger interschool tournament in the near future. We look forward to next season.
