Personalised Education

An International School Approach

In January 2010, CGB hosted an LAHC conference on personalised education. The conference focused on different educational aspects including, English as an additional language, emotional and academic support and gifted and talented students. Ten schools from across South America attended and really reinforced the idea that we are all lifelong learners.

The conference’s key note speaker was Yvonne Burke who joined us from England. Yvonne has worked as a Senior Adviser for ‘Attitudes to Learning’ in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. She is a Gifted and Talented Consultant for the National Association of Able Children in Education. Her workshops focused on gifted and talented provision but also highlighted the need for cross-curricular teaching and a personalised approach to learning.
