The Department of English Language Support
 
 
This term marks a new development in the growth of CGB. As a school which is based upon the principles of providing personalized education and nurturing the growth of the whole child, we have committed fully to the development of the department of English Language support. 
 
As the school grows, so is the number of children from non-English speaking backgrounds. The challenges which speakers of English as a foreign or second language face when they arrive at the school can be substantial and the ELS department helps support these learners through a combination of classroom teaching support and outside tutoring.
 

We also help parents support children with other academic needs, such as mathematics, history, Spanish and science. All academic tutors from the school maintain contact with the ELS department in order to ensure transparency between the tutor, the ELS department, the parents, and the class teacher and place the needs of the learner at the centre of all teaching and learning activity.
