It is the policy of the school to contract teachers who have a minimum British degree level qualification in education (B Ed or equivalent level), or an internationally recognised equivalent. Each class group has an English speaking teacher experienced in the delivery of the English National Curriculum. In addition, qualified subject specialists teach Spanish, Colombian social studies and other specialist subjects.
In all schools naturally the two most important ingredients are always its students and its staff. During this school year 2007-2008 the average class size is of 15, an academic staff equivalent to 35 full-time teachers, an improved student-teacher ratio of 7.4 to 1. CGB is an international school with a student population drawn from 23 nationalities and now we are further enriched by also having a truly international staff comprising of American, British, Canadian, Colombian, Australian, Singaporean, Dutch and South African teachers.
