Getting To Know Us

  • CGB is a school where the medium of instruction is English as a first language.
  • It was the first school in Colombia with a double international accreditation. NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) and CIS (Council of International Schools).
  • It is the only school in Colombia with a truly international student and staff population.
  • It offers Nursery to Year 13 (UK) in a small, tranquil and rural environment where the total student population is 455 and the average class size is 16 students.

School Day

The regular school day begins at 7:15 a.m. and ends at 2:50 p.m. from Monday to Thursday and on Fridays ends at 2:00p.m.  The school provides a Co-Curricular programme from 11.20 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. for Foundation and Key Stage 1 students on Wednesdays. KS2 have their compulsory co-curricular activities from 1.35 - 2.50 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays while Secondary activities are from 1.10 - 2.50 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

 

School Uniform

The uniform provides a unity for students, and a symbol that they belong to the CGB community. Students should wear their uniform with pride, both inside and outside the school grounds. In this respect, as in other respect, older students have the duty to provide a good role model for the younger ones.
